About Tytiana Smith

2D Animation Portfolio
Hello, my name is Tytiana Smith. I am an aspiring 2D animator and illustrator currently honing my craft as a student. My artistic focus lies in anime-inspired and cute aesthetics, characterized by highly detailed environments and bold, expressive color palettes. My passion for drawing was originally sparked by iconic anime series such as Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. Ultimately, my goal is to bring that same level of dynamic storytelling to a top-tier animation company and contribute to the creation of visually stunning, world-class animated projects.

Animation Styles
As a 2D animator and illustrator, my style is defined by a bold, glamorous aesthetic that blends highly expressive character designs with meticulous digital rendering. While my foundational inspirations come from dynamic anime, my specific approach to character art leans into a heavily stylized, modern portraiture look that commands attention. When I am designing characters and building out my worlds, I focus on a few core artistic pillars:
Character Design and Worldbuilding:
I focus heavily on expressive character design and imaginative worldbuilding. I frequently lean into playful, sweet aesthetics, often incorporating dessert-themed concepts into my art—like the fluffy cotton candy companion featured in my work. I enjoy designing characters that feel highly individualized, utilizing everything from starry overlays to vibrant animal ears to bring their unique personalities to the forefront.
Technical Precision :
While my art style is heavily illustrative and colorful, I deeply value the underlying mechanics of animation. I prioritize technical accuracy in my preparation phase, focusing closely on precise character turnarounds, correct limb positioning, and solid walk cycles. This ensures that the high level of detail and bold colors I love to draw translate smoothly and accurately into motion.
Storyboarding and Narrative Environments:
Beyond individual characters, I am deeply invested in the worlds they inhabit and the stories they tell. Whether I am laying out multi-panel storyboards for an adventurous quest or painting intricate backgrounds—like ruined gothic architectural interiors—I maintain strict artistic control over my settings. I purposefully isolate and refine my background elements during the process, ensuring that the environment perfectly supports the narrative without overshadowing the detailed characters and action in the foreground.
